Last year around fall time, I went to see my kids in Broken Arrow, Ok. I am unable to drive that far so I had to have the Senior Citizen Bus come and pick me up at the bus depot. That is a story all its own, but at a latter time. The gentleman who came to pick me up was by himself. We hadn't traveled very far when we stopped to get a drink. And that is where this story begins.
A while back, I had my first ever face to face conversation with an honest to goodness Liberal Dem. I just always believe every normal person is a Republican! As Cal Thomas said "Republicans are right all the time, they have George Bush, and God on our side. Whom do the Dems have?"
He had compiled a list of 35 things he believed President Bush had did wrong. He made the comment about Hillary being our next President, and he was serious, I looked at him and said your a Democrat, he just smiled and handed me his list. I started to read them when I realized he not only was a Democrat but a died in the wool Liberal Left Dem., and I told him that.I started down the list and gave my opinion on them, I am just going to write a few, some are so stupid they don't deserve comment, and a lot of them are the usual mantra, or are too ridiculous to waste my time on.
The Geneva convention, I believe states, anyone caught in battle in uniform are to be given protection. Anyone caught fighting in a war out of uniform are considered spies and Shot! I don't really think their hoods, like the KKK,constitutes a uniform. I can guarantee they are treated with much more respect than our boys are.
Katrina- to put all the blame on the President and Fema is really not accurate. The President called the Governor before Katrina hit and asked what help she needed, she said she wasn't sure but would get back to him-she never did! Governor Jeb Bush offered help, his knowledge dealing with many storms I am sure would have been useful. She didn't want or need any help. Than you have the brainless Mayor Ray Nagen. He had absolutely no idea what to do. He had all those buses and even the trains offered to help, but he didn't get back to them, and of course he had no "bus drivers". They had 5 days to prepare, but all they did was wring their hands!
New York had no notice, 3000 people died, in the attack on our soil, the mayor took charge, the police, fire department worked together. What a difference, yes Fema failed, but the Governor and Mayor failed big time!
The mantra about the 8 fired judges, WELL, President Bush could have fired all 94. He has the right! Albert Gonzalez did not have to disclouse any information concerings the firings because they were legal.
The mantra of Tax breaks for the rich! The Wall Street Journal has written several articles proving that absolutely bogus. Because of the tax cuts, revenue is up 7% for the first 10 months of this physical year, wealthy top 5% is up 13.5%, corporations taxes are up 10.7%. New Jobs have been created because of this. Tax cuts is the best way, proven way, to raise revenue, but all the Dems want to raise all the taxes and probably make new ones, Why, can't they read the figures given by the IRS?
President Bush has kept us safe the last 6and onehalf years. He implemented the Patricot Act. He got rid of Bubba Boys and his AG Janet Reno's "Wall", so now the CIA, FBI and other agencies can actually work together. If you are worried about your phone calls, emails, or your library books you read, unless they are about making a bomb, killing people, raising money for the Jiahaid, I really don't think you have to worrie.
"Scooter" Libby over turned prision sentence, apparently he really didn't out Valorie Plume, because her law suit was thrown out of court. Now you have Sandy Burger, who stole, than destroyed classified papers, and only got a slap on the hand! atta boy Bubba ,more secreats you don't have to worrie about.
The poor prisioners, 3 sq meals a day, a place to sleep w/a mat, showers, medical, and even prayer rugs. Now the terrible pictures with panties on their head doesn't quite come up to -oh say-lopping a head off on TV, or the Battan Death march inWW11 or the accomidations our boys had in their cages in Vietnam.
The liberal rational on abortions, the blob has noSS# or name so how could it be murdder? This was his incredible belief. I didn't even bother to ask him how he felt on stem cell after that answer.
The most outrageous and insulting was when he wrote "Bush receives direction not from his father but from a higher Father. I say "Praise the Lord!"
When President Bush explained his veto on stem cell I couldn't have been prouder that he is our President. He is a man of integerty who stand for what he believes even if it hurts him in the poles, he stands, because he thinks it is what is best for the U.S. I will end my piece with President Bush's words. It says it all.
"The U.S. was founded on the principle that all human life is sacred. Concious calls us to pursue the principle of science in that it respects human dignity and upholds morals. Destroying human life to help research is unethical."
